Lucinia Mundy's Story
In 2000, Lucinia Mundy started offering a business mentor program in Washington, DC, to those interested in founding startup companies, as well as those interested in in the general principles and practices of entrepreneurship. Lucinia Mundy has more than 25 years of experience as a community leader, and she used her background in business to create online mentoring programs for both teens and adults who want to work for themselves one day.
In addition to founding the MyOwnBiz Youth Entrepreneurs Training and Mentoring Program, Lucinia also devised a Small Business Incubator Program, where startup entrepreneurs can rent low-cost shared office and retail space, which allows them to network with other entrepreneurs and share intellectual, financial, and administrative resources.
Lucinia currently works for the Charles County Government as their purchasing programs outreach administrator. She has also been an election judge and campaign organizer for various federal, state, and local elections and has co-authored and edited two books on public speaking and motivation.
